Have you ever wandered through life aimlessly?
Have you ever wondered what your purpose in life is and what you want to be “when you grow up?”

Yes, until 1960, before I became a Baha’i.
Since I learned that God creates mankind (including you and me) to know Him and to worship Him, then I started a purposeful, thankful and happy life.

We wrongly think that we live, while we only exist aimlessly. We exist in our pursuit of our physical aims or in satisfying our physical desires, and we mistakenly consider them as purpose of our life. We desperately struggle for existence, without knowing why life is so sad, so violent, so ridiculous!…. Great philosophers introduced thousands of theories and still we see no ways to a better life. Why all the starvation, suffering and unbearable injustice?
I realize that I am fortunate for having found the answer in the Baha’i Faith. Yes, all is so simple:
“I bear witness, O my God, that Thou hast created me to know Thee and to worship Thee.”
(Baha’u'llah, Prayers and Meditations by Baha’u'llah, p. 313)
This answer was given, not only by Baha’u’llah, the Founder of the Baha’i Faith, but also successively by all the Messengers of God such as Moses, Christ, Muhammad… See, how happy, how purposeful, how progressive… are the lives of the true and unknown believers, who have built the Hebrew, the Christian, the Islamic civilizations (yes, the true believers – not the bearers of religious names, with additional epithets such as orthodox, fundamental, scientific!)
Today, people are disputing about all sorts of matters, only because of not knowing or forgetting this divine, supreme and eternal purpose.
In all the Holy Books, it is said that God loves mankind, He creates them all to thankfully enjoy His creation and continue to serve Him and His children in this eternal enterprise of carrying out an ever-advancing civilization.
So the more we learn and practise the commands of God, we know more about His love, His physical and spiritual realms, and how to advance eternally towards Him in peace, progress, blisfulness…through His innumerable worlds. Baha’u’llah revealed over 100 volumes of Books and Tablets to teach in details the matters mentioned above and other new subjects that men have not thought of. How we humans can write anything better for the education of the human race.
I only consider these brief articles as my shallow introduction, and praying that more and more people will turn to Baha’u’llah for their own learning. And I am thankful to Baha’u’llah for guiding me and millions of my wiser brothers and sisters on earth (and also in the heavens) in this Age of human maturity.
