THE GREAT JOY OF ASKING AND ANSWERING QUESTIONS

Why are you on EP?

My answer | Rating (1)

Because it is one of the interesting Internet communities, where I can learn about the world, human beings and their relation. And more interestingly, it is the place where I can enjoy asking and answering all sorts of questions. This will last perhaps eternally, because the mysteries of the universe are eternal mysteries! Scientists will keep on seeking for the particle of God, and divine philosophers seeking God.
I sincerely congratulate the EP admin for wisely maintaining this free and open forum.

Most of us think that we have the perfect answers for all questions. We proudly think that all people are stupid, except ourself! They are so stupid that they use narcotics, alcohol, cigarettes. They are so stupid that they cannot make billions of dollars by cheating the ignorant and the poor. They are so stupid that they use dirty water, poisonous food, luxury cars. They are so stupid that they do all sorts of bad things that bring our world to the brink of destructive abyss.

They are stupid because they don’t learn like us, they don’t think like us, they don’t act like us. That is why they deserve misery, suffering, death. We wouldn’t care, if their wrong living will only destroy themselves. But, the bitterness is that their wrongdoings also affect us tremendously. We call them to rethink, they don’t care. We punish them, they don’t fear. We want to negotiate with them, they sabotage all negotiations. Why are they like that?

Because, they are invisible. None of them exist. Only we the wise people exist. We finally fail in all our efforts!

Yes, we fail, because we don’t know that they are we ourselves. We don’t know that we are ignorant, we are bad, we are arrogant. We are not only arrogant against the human race, we are arrogant even against God. God sends His Messenger down to teach us, and we kill His Messenger with all pride. Who is God, Who is that Messenger Who boldly claims to be our Educator?

And, because we have no Educator, we roam around the planet in the darkness of our ignorant mind in wonder, suffering and despair! Now, should we stop for a second to rethink, or should we keep on behaving with self-righteousness and blame the invisible ‘they’ for our destruction?

I am thankful to God that, one by one, many individuals have rethought, have turned to God for guidance and no longer blamed the invisible ‘they’. These individuals try to educate themselves with the counsels of God and happily bear the sufferings of their former and actual wrongdoings.

Yes, we are real, and we are responsible for our own destinies.

RELIGIOUS PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE MINDFUL OF THE LIFE OF ALL OTHER PEOPLE

Why can’t religious people mind their own business, and simply accept that there are non-religious people in the world?

My answer| Rating (1)

Religious people are supposed to be mindful of the life of all other people, who are the children of God, hence their brothers and sisters. Non-religious people will sooner or later return to the love of God, due to the care of God and of His children with patience. If they don’t mind about the life of other people, they are no longer religious, they are no longer human, they are no longer living being. They become inanimate stone!

Human beings are not destined to be religious or non-religious; they are destined to make progress from immaturity to maturity.

What is the use of a religious life without being aware of the happiness of other people? A truly religious person is he who knows the love of God, through His Divine Messenger, hence he loves all other people, who are the children of God, who are all his brothers and sisters, including those who claim to be non-religious.

A religious person is not he who bears the name of a religion.

A religious person is not he who loves a group of people and hates the others.

A religious person is not he who causes division among the peoples of the world.

A religious person is not he who disobeys the laws of his country.

A religious person is not he who creates confusion and disorder.

A religious person is not he who embraces a religion and hates the believers of other religions.

A religious person is not he who dislikes people who claim that they are non-religious.

A religious person is not he who rejects the discoveries of the scientists.

A religious person is not he who claims to be all-knowing.

A religious person is not he who judges other people.

A religious person is he who loves God, the Creator and Sustainer of all worlds, therefore He loves the creation and the command of God.

A religious person is he who does the Will of God by putting the Teachings of the Messenger of God into practice.

A religious person is he who considers himself as lower than all other people among mankind.

A religious person is he who learns continuously to reduce his ignorance, and to serve other people more efficiently.

A religious person may not bear the name of a religion, but he devotedly serves the Cause of Peace.

A religious person is he who does not seek for earthly possession or glory, but he only seeks for the good pleasure of God.

A religious person may talk to you about religion, but he does not try to convert you. His intention is only to spread the glad-tidings about the Kingdom of God.

A religious person is he who admits his faults instead of blaming other people.

A religious person is supposed to be a well-wisher of all other people. If he fails to do so,  he will seek the guidance of God for repentance.

A religious person is supposed to be an obedient son of God among all human beings, who are also the obedient and disobedient children of God. And the obedient ones are supposed to patiently and compassionately assist the disobedient ones, without judgement, without hatred, without disappointment.

In fact, there are no labels that separate religious and non-religious people. Deep in the heart of a person, he himself can see whether he is religious or non-religious. And he can decide to make the change instantly. Abdul-Baha says:

“It makes no difference whether you have ever heard of Bahá’u'lláh or not,” was the answer, “the man who lives the life according to the teachings of Bahá’u'lláh is already a Bahá’í. On the other hand a man may call himself a Bahá’í for fifty years and if he does not live the life he is not a Bahá’í”.

(Abdu’l-Baha, Abdu’l-Baha in London, p. 106)

A religious person is he who believes that the divine omnipotence will cause the establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth to be a reality, without his struggling against anyone else. He is a practical learner, while only the Messenger of God is the Educator of all mankind.

THE VOICES OF MY HEAD MAY PROMPT ME TO DO BOTH GOOD AND BAD THINGS

Do the voices in your head tell you what to do ?

My answer | Rating (1)

The voices in my head may prompt me to do both good and bad things; that is due to my limited knowledge. This is perhaps the case of other people as well.
So, I turn to the Books of the Messengers of God, to make decisions based on the Voices of God. I may make mistakes like the believers of other religions too, but it is better than without divine guidance.
In order to secure a head with more positive promptings, I think that we should keep on learning, and then doing things with love and creativity.

I know not what is good and what is bad. I don’t know whether world unity is good or bad. I believe that it is good. But many people say that it is bad. Because the world government will be more corrupted than national govenments. Because many cultures will be forgotten under the domination of the world culture. Because, until now there is no prestigious school to train world officials, and so on.

I know not what is love. I believe that love is giving our all to the Cause of God. But many people say that there is no God, and nobody can sincerely give his all for any Cause. Lots of people are suffering in the love arena. And it seems that mysterious veils are covering all eyes when they fall in love.

I know not what is knowledge. I roam around the marvelous Internet for many years, and I conclude that it is a huge point of ignorance. Yes, for me, I realize that my ignorance is more and more immense. I know not what is God’s particle, what is dark matter and dark energy, what is string universes, and it may take the whole Internet to tell all what I don’t know! Therefore, I dare not impose my ideas on anyone else, including my children and grandchildren. I think that we should consult to reach consentment on any matters.

Now, I turn to the Book of Baha’u’llah to look for knowledge, precisely for the meanings of knowledge. I will continue to meditate on His words and try to apply the points which appear to be clear to my mind. Perhaps, I cannot find the right meaning and my understanding is still false. But, for me this is my certitude. I believe that Baha’u’llah is the Messenger of God for this Age, like Buddha, Christ, Muhammad… for Their Ages, and the next Messenger will not come earlier than one thousand years after Baha’u’llah. Perhaps, I am false, but this falseness have brought me faith, happiness and purpose for my learning. I will rethink, when I discover any Revelation greater than Buddhism, Christianity, the Baha’i Faith…

And here is one of the answers of Baha’u’llah concerning knowledge:

“Know verily that Knowledge is of two kinds: Divine and Satanic. The one welleth out from the fountain of divine inspiration; the other is but a reflection of vain and obscure thoughts. The source of the former is God Himself; the motive-force of the latter the whisperings of selfish desire. The one is guided by the principle: “Fear ye God; God will teach you;”[1] the other is but a confirmation of the truth: “Knowledge is the most grievous veil between man and his Creator.” The former bringeth forth the fruit of patience, of longing desire, of true understanding, and love; whilst the latter can yield naught but arrogance, vainglory and conceit. From the sayings of those Masters of holy utterance, Who have expounded the meaning of true knowledge, the odour of these dark teachings, which have obscured the world, can in no wise be detected. The tree of such teachings can yield no result except iniquity and rebellion, and beareth no fruit but hatred and envy. Its fruit is deadly poison; its shadow a consuming fire. How well hath it been said: “Cling unto the robe of the Desire of thy heart, and put thou away all shame; bid the worldlywise be gone, however great their name.”

[1 Qur'án 2:282.]

The heart must needs therefore be cleansed from the idle sayings of men, and sanctified from every earthly affection, so that it may discover the hidden meaning of divine inspiration, and become the treasury of the mysteries of divine knowledge. Thus hath it been said: “He that treadeth the snow-white Path, and followeth in the footsteps of the Crimson Pillar, shall never attain unto his abode unless his hands are empty of those worldly things cherished by men.” This is the prime requisite of whosoever treadeth this path. Ponder thereon, that, with eyes unveiled, thou mayest perceive the truth of these words.”

(Baha’u'llah, The Kitab-i-Iqan, p. 69)(1)
