Eradicated soon with the maturity of human beings who realize that they are all the equal children of the One True God.

Abdul-Baha says:

Love and unity will be fostered between you, thereby bringing about the oneness of mankind. For the accomplishment of unity between the colored and whites will be an assurance of the world’s peace. Then racial prejudice, national prejudice, limited patriotism and religious bias will pass away and remain no longer. I am pleased to see you at this gathering, white and dark, and I praise God that I have had this opportunity of seeing you loving each other, for this is the means of the glory of humanity. This is the means of the good-pleasure of God and of eternal bliss in His kingdom. Therefore I pray in your behalf that you may attain to the fullest degree of love and that the day may come when all differences between you may disappear.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Baha’i World Faith – Abdu’l-Baha Section, p. 269)

Abdul-Baha says:

Act in such a way that your heart may be free from hatred. Let not your heart be offended with anyone. If some one commits an error and wrong toward you, you must instantly forgive him. Do not complain of others. Refrain from reprimanding them, and if you wish to give admonition or advice, let it be offered in such a way that it will not burden the bearer. Turn all your thoughts toward bringing joy to hearts. Beware! Beware! lest ye offend any heart. Assist the world of humanity as much as possible. Be the source of consolation to every sad one, assist every weak one, be helpful to every indigent one, care for every sick one, be the cause of glorification to every lowly one, and shelter those who are overshadowed by fear.” (Abdu’l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace, p. 453)

Baha’u’llah says:

“On the other hand, consider the welding power of His Word. Observe, how those in whose midst the Satan of self had for years sown the seeds of malice and hate became so fused and blended through their allegiance to this wondrous and transcendent Revelation that it seemed as if they had sprung from the same loins. Such is the binding force of the Word of God, which uniteth the hearts of them that have renounced all else but Him, who have believed in His signs, and quaffed from the Hand of glory the Kawthar of God’s holy grace. Furthermore, how numerous are those peoples of divers beliefs, of conflicting creeds, and opposing temperaments, who, through the reviving fragrance of the Divine springtime, breathing from the Ridvan of God, have been arrayed with the new robe of divine Unity, and have drunk from the cup of His singleness! How did you learn about meditation and what made you start practicing?

I was a teen and my dad was reading a book called ‘The Relaxation Response”, It was not Meditation Per Se but the principle was similar. I read parts of the book & that started my journey. What about you? Why do you meditate? Some to see the future, others understand themselves? What is your reason?
UPDATE: I am so glad I asked this question! Everyone has Awesome answers! I would never vote on anyone’s as best..I guess that is EP’s Job? So interesting to see the whys/reasons. I love the peace I feel when I meditate. I sometimes don’t want to leave ; ). To me it is taking that feeling and hopefully bringing it into my life and those I come in contact with? Who Knows, hopefully I do my little part. There are times, it is difficult to meditate (stress, etc) But I continue. Then I pass through that part & begin again. It is as important to me as breathing. It is my safe haven. THANK YOU ALL, for sharing! I feel e/o that is into this helps e/o. I love reading. Thanks again to ALL!

Answer by pukirahe Feb 5th, 2010 at 11:16PM

It is an ancient practice of profound thinking in each rational being. Meditation becomes something mysterious and confusing by the teaching of false teachers. Yes, meditation cannot be defined, hence it cannot be taught. Each human being has the power of thought and needs to attain glorious self-realization by self training and self application. So, he who turns his mind into high ideals, he will receive marvelous inspirations, and with practice he will become enlightened, and this enlightenment is completely personal. All training, especially collective training in societies or monasteries, about meditation are fake.
In this mature age of the human race, each individual will become his own master in all things. Now, I can teach my grandchildren nothing. They get physical and intellectual training in various schools, but for spiritual development they learn independently and directly from the guidance of God.

Abdul-Baha says:

Thy spiritual father and thy good mother sent me thy radiant picture and I rejoiced on seeing it. I pray God to illumine thy heart with the light of the Manifestation, to nurture thee in His mercy so that thou mayest attain maturity in His love; thy spirit be enlightened with beholding His light and thy spirit revived by the bounty of the Holy Spirit, so that thou mayest be a sign of the love of God, speaking in the name of God, joyous by the favors of God, attaining  71  unto the sea of the mercy of God, and being baptized with the water of life, the fire of love and the spirit of attraction.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Tablets of Abdu’l-Baha v1, p. 70)

EACH HUMAN BEING HAS A PARTICULAR PATH TO RETURN TO GOD

In life, do you carve a path, or do you follow the path set before you?

If you have done both: What have you found to work best?

Best Answer by pukirahe (Chosen By Asker):

I don’t follow, I don’t create; I go beyond all paths. The spiritual journey does not depend on time and space. As for this virtual world, I don’t follow Bill Gates, I don’t create a powerful Website; I spread the divine fragrance over various community forums. I do some other things in the real world; but people don’t know who I am, what I do. I silently experience how my life is progressing, for what purpose.

Abdul-Baha says:

Likewise, if some teachers go to other islands and other parts, such as the continent of Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, also to Japan, Asiatic Russia, Korea, French Indochina, Siam, Straits Settlements, India, Ceylon and Afghanistan, most great results will be forthcoming. How good would it be were there any possibility of a commission composed of men and women, to travel together through China and Japan — so that this bond of love may become strengthened, and through this going and coming they may establish the oneness of the world of humanity, summon the people to the Kingdom of God and spread the teachings.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Tablets of the Divine Plan, p. 42)

LANGUAGE OF LOVE SPEAKS LOUDER THAN ALL LANGUAGES TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS ON EARTH

It is the time to invent something?

Dont worry, i wont steal your ideas lol

Answer by pukirahe Feb 5th, 2010 at 3:51AM

It is time to invent something every day, otherwise life would be as dead. My invention for today is the encouragement of using the language of the heart. The more we reciprocate love from heart to heart, the more we will quickly remove the barriers of confusing national languages which were separating people into warring camps. Yes, smiles, laughters, warm handshakes, hugs, gifts of flowers…speak louder than vocal dictionaries.

Abdul-Baha says:

“Every cherished effort must extend its powers to other souls. Is there anything more cherished than the mind of man? We must expend this faculty in the cause of human union, for we are the children of one father. A delicate spiritual power is ever exercising an influence over the hearts and minds of men. Why should we abandon the holy power which binds us together and cleave to the barbarous traditions which keep us apart?

The world of existence is like unto an orchard and humanity is like unto the trees. All these trees are planted in the same orchard, reared through the heat of one sun, watered with one rain. We must be the cause of the adornment of this orchard.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Divine Philosophy, p. 182)

THE INTERNET IS BROADENING THE OCEAN OF KNOWLEDGE

Do you think some teachers and bosses don’t like pupils/employees smarter than them?

Answer by pukirahe Feb 5th, 2010 at 3:50AM

Not many people are like that. The solution is not to judge them, but to teach ourself not to follow their way.

HAPPINESS OR SUFFERING OF A PERSON AFFECTS THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE

When did Americans stop caring about each other?

Answer by pukirahe Feb 5th, 2010 at 5:51AM

They do not stop. With the averagely high level of education, the Americans must realize that Americans are related with all the peoples of the world. The happiness or suffering of a person affects the whole human race.

Abdul-Baha says:

“A few days ago I arrived in New York, coming direct from Alexandria. On a former trip I traveled to Europe, visiting Paris and London. Paris is most beautiful in outward appearance. The evidences of material civilization there are very great, but the spiritual civilization is far behind. I found the people of that city submerged and drowning in a sea of materialism. Their conversations and discussions were limited to natural and physical phenomena, without mention of God. I was greatly astonished. Most of the scholars, professors and learned men proved to be materialists. I said to them, “I am surprised and astonished that men of such perceptive caliber and evident knowledge should still be captives  17  of nature, not recognizing the self-evident Reality.” (Abdu’l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace, p. 16)
