NOWADAYS WE ALL CAN EASILY GET IN TOUCH WITH DIVINE GUIDANCE

If you live alone, what do you love most about it?

Me, I love being able to take a nap in the middle of the day (when i’m off work of course), and not have to worry about getting bitched at for taking a nap in the middle of the day…

Answer by pukirahe Jan 30th, 2010 at 10:41PM

I can spend all my time in communion with God, then sharing His guidance to my friends on the Internet.
Since, I have no wisdom, I keep on asking His almighty and omniscient counsels for my happy life, and I earnestly wish that all other people will also be independently happy that way.

Abdul-Baha says:

Consider whether there exists anywhere in creation a principle mightier in every sense than religion, or whether any conceivable power is more pervasive than the various Divine Faiths, or whether any agency can bring about real love and fellowship and union among all peoples as can belief in an almighty and all-knowing God, or whether except for the laws of God there has been any evidence of an instrumentality for educating all mankind in every phase of righteousness. GOOD LESSONS WE GET AND GOOD PEOPLE WE BECOME BY SINCERE PRACTICE

Are You Like Me In The Way That You Have Been Inspired To Be A Better Person, But Never Got Around To It?

Yes, inspiration is only a theoric lesson; we still need action and continuous training into a positive habit.

Abdul-Baha says:

In the fifth chapter of Matthew beginning with the thirty-seventh verse He counsels: “Resist not evil and injury with its like; but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” And further, from the forty-third verse: “Ye have heard that it hath been said, ‘Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and thou shalt not vex thine enemy with enmity.’ But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth down the rain of His mercy on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans the same?” (Abdu’l-Baha, The Secret of Divine Civilization, p. 81)

Anyone observing Shivaratri tonight?

Saying Om Namah Shivaya once tonight is worth 1000 times any other night.
“Smart” remarks will get “wise”[crack] answers. Go answer pizza topping questions if this is of no interest to you. Om Namah Shivaya.

With true faith in God, you can move mountains.
Yes, some days are greater than other days.
So what about tomorrow and other tomorrows?
I think we should seek greater, greater blessings always.

Abdul-Baha says:

It is evident that we have two modes for the expression of life, – individuality and personality, – the former becomes as the son of God and the latter the son of man. As we have shown, the personality of some is illumined, that of others is dark; the personality of some is seen in the manifestation of divine justice, while that of others is the embodiment of tyranny. The personality of some is divine guidance made visible, while that of others is choked in the veils of self and desire. That which was hidden in the capability of these souls has been made manifest; just as, for instance, when you sow a seed, that which is hidden in the reality of that seed becomes revealed and unfolded – the trunk, the branches, the leaves, the blossoms and the fruits, which are in the seeds as potentialities. A teacher brings out the potentialities of the pupils. The clouds pour down rain, the sun shines, and that which was hidden in the bosom of the earth springs forth.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Divine Philosophy, p. 132)

ALL MEN NEED GUIDANCE TO ATTAIN THEIR BEST DESIRES THROUGH EDUCATION

What is the purpose of Education?

March1

For those reading this, the purpose of education will differ for us all in many ways.  My view on the purpose of education has changed over the years as I have become a teacher, governor and most importantly a parent with two children in the education ’system’.

Does one size fit all?

View of Pukirahe:

I am very happy to read questions concerning education, especially its purpose.

Perhaps, when we do not realize the purpose of our life, we cannot define the purpose of our education.

With my realizing that the purpose of my life is to know God and to worship Him, I think that I must keep on learning to know more clearly about the Will of God and about how to put my learning into practice.

Other people may recognize the same purpose of life, but their way through education is quite different and unique. Members of my family also declare their faith in God, while my children and grandchildren grow up through various educational systems. However, my family is harmoniously happy and unified. Probably, this is resulted by the divine guidance of God for each soul that turns to Him.

Abdul-Baha says:

All the inhabitants of earth are recipients of the bounty of the one phenomenal sun, and none are preferred above others; so, likewise, all receive the heavenly bestowals of the Word of God; none are specialized as favorites; all are under its protection and universal effulgence. Human strife and religious disagreement complex and disfigure the simple purity and beauty of the divine Cause until clouds obscure the light of reality and disunion results. Therefore, make use of intelligence and reason so that you may dispel these dense clouds from the horizon of human hearts and all hold to the one reality of all the Prophets. It is most certain that if human souls exercise their respective reason and intelligence upon the divine questions, the power of God will dispel every difficulty, and the eternal realities will appear as one light, one truth, one love, one God and a peace that is universal. (Abdu’l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace, p.79)

GOD IS ALMIGHTY AND SAINTS ARE POWERLESS BEINGS HENCE LET’S WORSHIP GOD

Who is the patron saint of lost causes?

All saints are patrons of lost causes.
God is the Invincible Patron of the Divine Cause.

Abdul-Baha says:

Thou hast questioned how thou canst accept this divine Cause, for thou art a member of the church. In the day of the Manifestation of Christ, many souls became portionless and deprived because they were members of the Holy of Holies in Jerusalem. According to that membership, they became veiled from that brilliant Beauty. Therefore, turn thou thy face to the Church of God which consists in divine instructions and merciful exhortations. For what similarity is there between the church of stone and cement and the celestial Holy of Holies!

Endeavor that thou mayest enter in this Church of God.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Baha’i World Faith – Abdu’l-Baha Section, p. 390)

Baha’u’llah says:

My creatures are even as the leaves of a tree. They proceed from the tree, and depend upon it for their existence, yet remain oblivious of their root and origin. We draw such similitudes for the sake of Our discerning servants that perchance they may transcend a mere plant — like level of existence and attain unto true maturity in this resistless and immovable Cause. Say: My creatures are even as the fish of the deep. Their life dependeth upon the water, and yet they remain unaware of that which, by the grace of an omniscient and omnipotent Lord, sustaineth their very existence. Indeed, their heedlessness is such that were they asked concerning the water and its properties, they would prove entirely ignorant. Thus do We set forth comparisons and similitudes, that perchance the people may turn unto Him Who is the Object of the adoration of the entire creation.” (Baha’u’llah, The Summons of the Lord of Hosts, p. 36)
