These days, social media is circumventing politicians and bureaucracies in ways they could have never have imagined. Thanks to the Internet, the Dalai Lama joined Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu for the Archbishop’s 80th birthday – via Google+. No visa, plane tickets or government intervention required.

Abdul-Baha says:

“The only division that is real is this: There are heavenly men and earthly men; self-sacrificing servants of humanity in the love of the Most High, bringing harmony and unity, teaching peace and goodwill to men. On the other hand there are those selfish men, haters of their brethren, in whose hearts prejudice has replaced loving kindness, and whose influence breeds discord and stri” (Abdu’l-Baha, Paris Talks, p. 148)

Peace will come soonest
When we reject prejudice

DO YOU LOVE THE WORLD OR NOT?

It is a weird world, do you love it or not?

I love this beautiful world and all noble human beings.
I love the mysteries in a blade of grass that no men can fully fathom.
I love the mysteries of a soul that discovers and develops itself to reach higher mysteries in the world of Revelation.
I love God Who creates all these mysteries and sends down
His Divine Messengers to give us the keys for exploration.
How can we waste all these precious gifts and busy ourselves
with our useless ‘monkey mind and horse spirit’?

Abdul-Baha says:

“At a time when the East was enshrouded with superstition and hatred, Baha’u'llah flooded these regions with His glorious light. Under the chains He unfurled the flag of the oneness of the world of humanity; in the prisons He spread the principles of universal peace and brotherhood; from behind the barracks He wrote His famous epistles to the kings and rulers of the world, arraigning the oppressors of the earth and calling upon them in the name of God the exalted not to place their sovereignty above that of His Highness the Almighty. (Abdu’l-Baha, Divine Philosophy, p. 44)

Our life is precious
Our planet is beautiful
I’m thankful to God

I AM MAKING A SIMPLE CORRECTION

The sun never rises and it never sets

We all accept easily the falsity established from antiquity.
Man lives eternally, but we never wonder about the falsity stating that “all men die”!
A ray of light takes eight minutes to travel from the sun to our planet, but none of us is aware of its movement forward, its departure and its arrival. We think that it leaves us to travel away with the sun!
The sun never rises and it never sets, but we keep on using the words “sunrise” and sunset”.
So now, I am making this simple correction to remind myself about the Sun of Truth Who rises and sets from Cycle to Cycle on our spiritual world. That Sun is the Holy Spirit Who successively brings to us the Buddhist Civilization, the Christian Civilization, the Baha’i Civilization, and former and future Civilizations.

Abdul-Baha says:

“May we be refreshed by the holy springs that are renewing the life of the world! As day follows night, and after sunset comes the dawn, so Jesus Christ appeared on the horizon of this world like a Sun of Truth; even so when the people — after forgetting the teachings of Christ and His example of love to all humanity — had again grown tired of material things, a heavenly Star shone once more in Persia, a new illumination appeared and now a great light is spreading throughout all lands.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Abdu’l-Baha in London, p. 82)

HAIKU

The sun never rises
It never sets so I call it
Suneast and sunwest
