LIVING FOREVER IS A GIFT OR A CURSE?

Do you think that living forever is a gift or a curse?

Composed objects disintegrate, so man’s body will not
live forever. Living forever is a gift for all souls. However,
if the souls lasted forever on this narrow planet, that might be
quite boring! The Prophets of God disclose that we are taking
the spiritual journey back to our Father in Heaven through His
boundless worlds; so we still have myriads of interesting things
to discover and to show our gratitude to the Merciful God.
Without divine Education, we cannot know who we are,
what we want and how to attain the good pleasure of God.
That is our noble destiny.

Baha’u’llah says:

“Religion bestoweth upon man the most precious of all gifts, offereth the cup of prosperity, imparteth eternal life, and showereth imperishable benefits upon mankind. It behoveth the chiefs and rulers of the world, and in particular the Trustees of God’s House of Justice, to endeavour to the utmost of their power to safeguard its position, promote its interests and exalt its station in the eyes of the world.” (Baha’u'llah, Tablets of Baha’u'llah, p. 129)

Good Question? (4)

I am very grateful to my teacher of French language
who gave me three advices for profitable use of time:
1. Read
2. Read
3. Read
Now again I have the sacred command of Baha’u'llah:

“149 Recite ye the verses of God every morn and
eventide. Whoso faileth to recite them hath not been
faithful to the Covenant of God and His Testament,
and whoso turneth away from these holy verses in this
Day is of those who throughout eternity have turned
away from God.
(Baha’u'llah, The Kitab-i-Aqdas, p. 73)
So I always have
“The Baha’i Readings” with me to read,
firstly to fulfill my sacred duty, then to enjoy
all the benefits of a prayerful life.

Baha’u’llah says:

“Read ye the sacred verses in such measure

that ye be not overcome by languor and despondency.

Lay not upon your souls that which will weary them

and weigh them down, but rather what will lighten

and uplift them, so that they may soar on the wings of

the Divine verses towards the Dawning-place of His

manifest signs; this will draw you nearer to God, did ye

but comprehend.” (Baha’u'llah, The Kitab-i-Aqdas, p. 74)

Good Question? (3)

Yes, and marvelously renewed since Jan 1, 2013.
People will welcome New Year with unprecedented
fancy, luxury, extravagance… to widen bitterly the gap
between the haves and the have-nots. And this may
continue in a number of years before we get out of
the world financial crisis which is threatening Europe
and even America.
Nobody can predict the coming of global calamities -
accidental, natural, social… – but individuals can escape
by returning to spirituality. They will not be exempted from
sufferings, but they can overcome and their souls are safe.
Google “spirituality” to see and to move ahead with this new
movement. There are negative trends such as occult cults,
hiding in the wilderness, selling “items for spiritual protection”…
But positive trends will be prevalent, with active study of
spiritual matters, broader cooperation in raising spiritual
awareness, ardent prayers and services in religious
communities….
Desperation will not come to people who are awake.

Baha’u’llah says:

Behold the disturbances which, for many a long year, have afflicted the earth, and the perturbation that hath seized its peoples. It hath either been ravaged by war, or tormented by sudden and unforeseen calamities. Though the world is encompassed with misery and distress, yet no man hath paused to reflect what the cause or source of that may be. Whenever the True Counsellor uttered a word in admonishment, lo, they all denounced Him as a mover of mischief and rejected His claim. How bewildering, how confusing is such behaviour! No two men can be found who may be said to be outwardly and inwardly united. The evidences of discord and malice are apparent everywhere, though all were made for harmony and union.” (Baha’u'llah, Tablets of Baha’u'llah, p. 163)

Abdu’l-Baha says:

“One demonstration of the excellent character of the Christians in those days was their dedication to charity and good works, and the fact that they founded hospitals and philanthropic institutions. For example, the first person to establish public clinics throughout the Roman Empire where the poor, the injured and the helpless received medical care, was the Emperor Constantine. This great king was the first Roman ruler to champion the Cause of Christ.” (Abdu’l-Baha, The Secret of Divine Civilization, p. 85)

WHY ATHEISTS ALSO STRIVE FOR HOLINESS?

Sorry for my ignorance but why would an atheist strive for holiness.

All atheists strive for holiness,
because they are human beings,
who bear in them all the names
and attributes of God. like the believers.
They all love spirituality, charity, justice
and all other human perfections.
They only ignore or deny the God as
defined or described by primitive
historians as an old, angry and jealous
Man who is invisible (that science cannot
make observations!)
Today, thousands of atheists (including myself)
surrender their will under the One True God,
Who manifests Himself gloriously before all eyes.
Details about this reality can be found and verify
through the Holy Books which are now freely and
easily accessible on the Internet.
I love and believe that all human beings are good,
either they claim to be atheists, theists, evolutionists,
theologists or secularists… All are noble and intelligent.

Baha’u’llah says:

“All men have been created to carry forward an ever-advancing civilization. The Almighty beareth Me witness: To act like the beasts of the field is unworthy of man. Those virtues that befit his dignity are forbearance, mercy, compassion and loving-kindness towards all the peoples and kindreds of the earth.”

(Baha’u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha’u'llah, p. 214)
