FACES OF ALL WOMEN AND MEN ARE THE COUNTENANCE OF GOD

Why are men and women always putting each other down? 😦
I always see some man assuming he knows how all women (naggy, petty, emotional ect.) are not realizing that there are billlions of women in the world and (most) have different personalities and preferences and things like that. And that they come in so many different sizes and shapes and colors and more.
Then there is always the woman every now and then who’s always saying “All men are the same” or “All men are dogs” or call a guy weak cause he wasn’t born with the organs to birth a baby (yes i’ve heard the..”women are stronger cause they give birth” but it’s really hard to prove who could deal with it better cause men can’t have babies)….not realizing the 1-10 men that she has gotten close to do not define the whole population of billions of men on the earth -_- (plus that always makes me lolz)
eh idk it just seems both genders are always dogging each other over some little thing…
I think people should see each other as individuals….not just genders (or colors)

You are right.
Mature people see the faces of all women and men
equally as the glorious countenance of God,
Who creates us all in His image and likeness.

Baha’u’llah says:

“Great is thy blessedness, for thou hast received the wine of utterance from the hand of the All-Merciful, and became so enraptured by the sweet fragrance of the Best-Beloved as to renounce thy comfort and to be numbered with them that have hastened unto His Paradise, the Dawning-Place of the signs of thy Lord, the Gracious, the Peerless. Happy the one who hath quaffed the wine of inner mysteries from the countenance of his Lord and been intoxicated by this pure and crystal draught. By God! It causeth every true believer to soar in the heaven of majesty and grandeur, and transmuteth every doubt into certainty.” (Baha’u’llah, The Summons of the Lord of Hosts, p. 149)

WHAT DOES FASTING TEACH?

Guest Post

WHAT DOES FASTING TEACH?

Fasting teaches thankfulness. To be so thankful for just water. Water to quench the thirst that comes from fasting. To come to really appreciate the importance of water in everyday health. That water is more important than food during a fast.

To be thankful for food. To be thankful for having food and so appreciative of eating when you are hungry. The value of foods. Not taking food for granted. And the knowledge of what it feels like to be hungry.  To understand what it feels like to be poor and to have to do without. And, when your intake of food is limited you can learn to choose the most nutritious of foods. Learn the value of fresh fruit and vegetables and whole grains. How to prepare them and combine them and the order in which they should be eaten and the order that they should not be eaten.

Fasting teaches everyday thankfulness. A state of prayer from early in the morning and throughout the entire day.

Fasting teaches one to overcome his desires and wants. Fasting teaches self-restraint. Fasting teaches self-discipline. Fasting teaches us about ourselves. Fasting creates difficulties. Fasting forces us to come to understand ourself better and acknowledge our shortcomings when times become difficult. Fasting teaches us that we can overcome difficulties and rise above our shortcomings. Fasting aids in the development of our latent capacities. Aids to increase our capacity. In overcome wants and desires we rise above our limitations and become empowered. We learn to control and have power over our appetites. To make better choices. Learn to do without things that we really do not need. Come to know True understand of human needs. And true happiness. We increase our capacities in detachment, understanding, and empathy. In separating what is important, what is truly important from that which is not.

An empowered human is a detached human. A detached human is open to divine guidance. Opened to the divine flow and confirmations.

Fasting is imposed upon us. Why? Because most people would not impose a fast upon themselves. So, why do the Manifestations impose fasting on their followers? It is the only way that we as followers can create the conditions to advance our capacities spiritually and mental and physically….because fasting really is all about attitude. An attitude of not eating.  An attitude of acceptance and love and assurances of the counseling and guidance of the Manifestation. And the divine confirmations that come with this attitude and acceptance. Fasting is not about eating. Fasting is about not eating. Patience under trials and tests. Yes, fasting creates trials and tests. That is one of it’s purposes.

Fasting teaches us to know of our own knowledge and not through knowledge of others. To see with our eyes and not through the eyes of our neighbors or friends or family. We can read about fasting and it’s benefits. We can become educated and learned about how to fast from researchers and scientists. But unless we act upon and practice fasting we do not know from our own knowledge.

Fasting teaches us to love Baha’u’llah. To have a personally relationship with Him. If we love Him then we will do what He asks us to do for His sake. Most of us do this all the time for our children….we make sacrifices because of our love for them. And we as children learned to obey our parents for our safety and health in-spite of our not wanting to obey them. Or, in not wanting to eat our vegetables, or not wanting to do our chores. Well, Baha’u’llah asks….tells us to do the same when is comes to fasting and prayer. We choose to obey Him or not. If we love Him and obey Him when it comes to the obligation to fast then He will fill thy soul with the spirit of life. If we become His servant, then nothing or no one was power over us. Then we will make the right choice and do the right action no matter the consequences to ourself. And when we make a wrong choice then we can learn and grow from acknowledging a bad choice. In making a mistake we can learn to overcome self or personal weakness or shortcomings and make better choices in the future. That is growth. And through growth comes wisdom and self knowledge.

In the spirit of the Ridvan season, best wishes in health and and happiness,

Abdul-Baha says:

“Strive with heart and soul in order to bring about union and harmony among the white and the black and prove thereby the unity of the Bahá’í world wherein distinction of colour findeth no place, but where hearts only are considered. Praise be to God, the hearts of the friends are united and linked together, whether they be from the east or the west, from north or from south, whether they be German, French, Japanese, American, and whether they pertain to the white, the black, the red, the yellow or the brown race. Variations of colour, of land and of race are of no importance in the Bahá’í Faith; on the contrary, Bahá’í unity overcometh them all and doeth away with all these fancies and imaginations.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Selections from the Writings of Abdu’l-Baha, p. 112)

THE BIG EARTH IS SMALL AND THE UNSEEN SOUL GREATER WORLD AS TAUGHT BY GOD

If you could go back in time and bring one idea to teach to people, which era would you go to and what would you teach?

Answer by pukirahe Apr 19th, 2011 at 6:50AM

No ideas from the past are better than the idea of our time.
“THE EARTH IS BUT ONE COUNTRY,
AND MANKIND ITS CITIZENS,” is the counsel of BAHA’U’LLAH
for the world today.

Baha’u’llah says:

“Have ye forbidden”, they were asked, “that which God hath made lawful, or allowed that which He hath forbidden?” “We were the first to follow the divine commandments”, he answered. “We are the root and origin of His Cause, the beginning of all good and its end. We are the sign of the Ancient of Days and the source of His remembrance amongst the nations.” (Baha’u’llah, The Summons of the Lord of Hosts, p. 129)

WHY DO WE NEED PRIESTS AND NOT EDUCATE OURSELF IN THIS MODERN TIME?

Is a priest better than you?

Answer by pukirahe Apr 18th, 2011 at 8:51AM

A priest proudfully condemns a robber in his church and pray God to chastise that robber.
A robber is lamenting, repenting and praying God for forgiveness.
In this instance, Christ says that God accepts the prayer of the robber
and rejects that of the priest.

Abdul-Baha says:

“Such is the meaning of the resurrection of Christ, and this was a true resurrection. But as the clergy have neither understood the meaning of the Gospels nor comprehended the symbols, therefore, it has been said that religion is in contradiction to science, and science in opposition to religion, as, for example, this subject of the ascension of Christ with an elemental body to the visible heaven is contrary to the science of mathematics. But when the truth of this subject becomes clear, and the symbol is explained, science in no way contradicts it; but, on the contrary, science and the intelligence affirm it.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Some Answered Questions, p. 104)

Abdul-Baha says:

“Among these teachings was the independent investigation of reality so that the world of humanity may be saved from the darkness of imitation and attain to the truth; may tear off and cast away this ragged and outgrown garment of a thousand years ago and may put on the robe woven in the utmost purity and holiness in the loom of reality. As reality is one and cannot admit of multiplicity, therefore different opinions must ultimately become fused into one.”(Abdu’l-Baha, Selections from the Writings of Abdu’l-Baha, p. 298)

HOW CAN I EXPRESS MY DEEP THANKFULNESS TO GOD FOR HIS GENEROUS BESTOWALS?

If you write letters to God do u think He reads them?

Answer by pukirahe Apr 17th, 2011 at 11:37PM

God read my letters before I put them down in words.
The reason I write them, only for me to reconsider
my wishes and to look for His prophetic answers in the Holy Books.
And I always thankfully find my greatest satisfaction.
I love books, and music, and nice pictures; and He gave me the Internet.
My own problem now is how to use healthily His generous gift for myself
and for mankind.

Abdul-Baha says:

“All that has been created is for man who is at the apex of creation and who must be thankful for the divine bestowals, so that through his gratitude he may learn to understand life as a divine benefit. If we hold enmity with life, we are ingrates, for our material and spiritual existence is the outward evidences of the divine mercy. Therefore we must be happy and pass our time in praises, appreciating all things. But there is something else: detachment. We can appreciate without attaching ourselves to the things of this world. It sometimes happens that if a man loses his fortune he is so disheartened that he dies or becomes insane. While enjoying the things of this world we must remember that one day we shall have to do without them.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Divine Philosophy, p. 134)
