WHAT IS THE MOST URGENT AND IMPORTANT DUTY
FOR EACH AND ALL HUMAN BEINGS TODAY?

I appreciate highly your comments for my further learning.

Looking for the answers to this question, I find the following quotations from the Writings of Baha’u’llah:

“1. The first duty prescribed by God for His servants is
the recognition of Him Who is the Dayspring of
His Revelation and the Fountain of His laws, Who
representeth the Godhead in both the Kingdom of His
Cause and the world of creation. Whoso achieveth this
duty hath attained unto all good; and whoso is deprived
thereof hath gone astray, though he be the author of
every righteous deed. It behoveth every one who
reacheth this most sublime station, this summit of
transcendent glory, to observe every ordinance of Him
Who is the Desire of the world. These twin duties are
inseparable. Neither is acceptable without the other.
Thus hath it been decreed by Him Who is the Source of
Divine inspiration.” (Baha’u’llah, The Kitab-i-Aqdas, p. 19)

“1. O SON OF SPIRIT! My first counsel is this: Possess a pure, kindly and radiant heart, that thine may be a sovereignty ancient, imperishable and everlasting.” (Baha’u’llah, The Arabic Hidden Words)

“2. O SON OF SPIRIT!
The best beloved of all things in My sight is Justice; turn not away therefrom if thou desirest Me, and neglect it not that I may confide in thee. By its aid thou shalt see with thine own eyes and not through the eyes of others, and shalt know of thine own knowledge and not through the knowledge of thy neighbor. Ponder this in thy heart; how it behooveth thee to be. Verily justice is My gift to thee and the sign of My loving-kindness. Set it then before thine eyes.” (Baha’u’llah, The Arabic Hidden Words)

“Teach ye the Cause of God, O people of Baha, for God hath prescribed unto every one the duty of proclaiming His Message, and regardeth it as the most meritorious of all deeds. Such a deed is acceptable only when he that teacheth the Cause is already a firm believer in God, the Supreme Protector, the Gracious, the Almighty. He hath, moreover, ordained that His Cause be taught through the power of men’s utterance, and not through resort to violence.” (Baha’u’llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha’u’llah, p. 278)

“Not one Prophet of God was made manifest Who did not fall a victim to the relentless hate, to the denunciation, denial, and execration of the clerics of His day! Woe unto them for the iniquities their hands have formerly wrought! Woe unto them for that which they are now doing! What veils of glory more grievous than these embodiments of error! By the righteousness of God! to pierce such veils is the mightiest of all acts, and to rend them asunder the most meritorious of all deeds!” (Baha’u’llah, The Kitab-i-Iqan, p. 165)

IS INTELLIGENCE THE ABILITY TO GUESS WELL?

A prof in college 1nce told me that intelligence is having the ability to guess well? Your thoughts?

His statement is really intelligent.
Almost all scientists, especially the evolutionists,
are very intelligent. They guess well about ‘Big Bang’
and until now nobody can can argue with them
about its falsehood to teach children newer theories.
Wishing that they will become wiser to serve the true
purpose of unification of all mankind in love and peace.
Intelligence should guess well about love, unity, peace,
prosperity and progress for all mankind in generations
to come.

Abdul-Baha says:

“Taken in general, women today have a stronger sense of religion than men. The woman’s intuition is more correct; she is more receptive and her intelligence is quicker. The day is coming when woman will claim her superiority to man.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Abdu’l-Baha in London, p. 104)

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INTELLIGENCE AND WISDOM?

How would you describe the difference between intelligence and wisdom?

With intelligence you see immediately the propblem,
with wisdom you solve it successfully.
Intelligence is universally given, wisdom is personal training.
Both are not good without using for the service of all mankind
with selfless love.

Baha’u’llah says:

“Waste not your time in idleness and sloth. Occupy yourselves with that which profiteth yourselves and others. Thus hath it been decreed in this Tablet from whose horizon the day-star of wisdom and utterance shineth resplendent.” (Baha’u’llah, Tablets of Baha’u’llah, p. 26)

WHAT IS MAN’S DESTINY?

Would you rather be a happy pig or an unhappy socrates?

Good Question? (3)

Answer by pukirahe Oct 5th, 2011 at 5:38PM

Neither pig nor Socrates.
The happiness of a pig is not the happiness of man.
Each human being is happy in his own way by going
through all sufferings, but not exactly like Socrates.
A rational being is a unique greater world. The lower
man is lower than the pig, and the higher man is higher
than Socrates, depending on his free choice and exertion.

Baha’u’llah says:

“The incomparable Creator hath created all men from one same substance, and hath exalted their reality above the rest of His creatures. Success or failure, gain or loss, must, therefore, depend upon man’s own exertions. The more he striveth, the greater will be his progress.” (Baha’u’llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha’u’llah, p. 81)

All men have freedom
To attain the nicest dream
Of their wisest choice
