This is for parents with religious beliefs. Do you encourage them to follow your faith or find their own?

I wanted to know if you try and involve them in your religion but allow them freedom to decide what they want or do you ask them to follow your beliefs. Would you care if they followed another religion, or none at all?

I encourage them to make independent investigation of truth
and freely decide their way of life. Each individual, including
each of my children, is endowed with intelligence to ask questions,
to find answers and to apply them for a good life, suitable to particular tastes, talents and circumstances.
The Internet, since this Year of Dragon 2012, can provide free access to truth for all mature human beings who want to decide their own destinies.

Abdul-Baha says:

“If you strive unceasingly, if you make a great effort, if you put forward extraordinary exertion, then these people will be awakened, their eyes will be opened and their ears unstopped, so that they can hear the melodious music which streams down from the supreme concourse, the notes and strains of which have been played from all eternity ever enrapturing with the thousand harmonious accompaniments the pure in the heart.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Divine Philosophy, p. 138)

Accurately true.
Seeds help themselves with air, water, soil…to become fresh plants.
Animals help themselves with minerals and vegetals to preserve ecology.
Human beings learn how to develop their virtues to become real children of God.
This is natural and eternal law of life.

Abdul-Baha says:

“May they break all bonds of limitation, so that they can observe from the height the lordly processions of infinite creatures; they will see the blue heavens studded with luminous stars, rivers flowing with salubrious water, gardens bedecked with fragrant flowers, trees adorned with blossoms and fruits, birds singing songs of light, humanity ever striving forward, every atom of existence breathing life and force – the universe of God a wonderful theatre upon the stage of which every created thing plays its part.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Divine Philosophy, p. 138)

I have answered many questions concerning 2012,
and also many questions concerning the Year of the Dragon.
Because the people of the West are wondering about “the end
of the World” according to Mayan Calendar;
and people of the East are placing high hope on the Dragon;
hence I will establish new record of blogging in this
most challenging, most promising and most controversial Year.

Baha’u’llah says:

“Potent am I to accomplish whatsoever I desire through My word “Be”, and it is! Every grace that appeareth in the world of being hath originated from thee, and unto thee shall it return. This, verily, is what hath been ordained in a Tablet which We have preserved behind the veil of glory and concealed from mortal eyes. Well is it with them that deprive themselves not of this manifest and unfailing grace.” (Baha’u’llah, The Summons of the Lord of Hosts, p. 22)

We need to learn from God about words and meanings.
He says “Be” and “It is”: no time is needed in His creation.
He says “I Am”, and Chist exists before Adam: what about time?
St. John warns about Apocalypse and foretells about “New Heaven
and New Earth”: where is the truth?
Know that all questions are answered convincingly in the Holy Books,
form time immemorial to all eternity.
We all have powers to ask questions and to find answers,
especially on the Internet in this Year of the Dragon.

Baha’u’llah says:

Yes, it is an independent religion though we believe that all religions come from God.

As for holding on to your current beliefs, I suppose that would depend on what they are.

If you believe that men are superior to women, this is probably not the religion for you.

If you believe that one race is better than another, this is probably not the religion for you.

If you believe in killing other people in the name of religion, this is definitely not the religion for you.

But if you are not a chauvinist, a bigot or a fanatic you might just want to look into the Baha’i Faith.
