Abdul-Baha says:

“I refer to the Titanic disaster, in which many of our fellow human beings were drowned, a number of beautiful souls passed beyond this earthly life. Although such an event is indeed regrettable, we must realize that everything which happens is due to some wisdom and that nothing happens without a reason. Therein is a mystery; but whatever the reason and mystery, it was a very sad occurrence, one which brought tears to many eyes and distress to many souls. I was greatly affected by this disaster.”

I believe in God, because God is Omniscient and Omnipotent.
God gives me Divine Education through His Messengers,
Whom I love, admire and revere.
Through Them I know the purpose of my life
is to return to my Adored One by serving mankind.
This service causes me to be thankfully busy
and pass my days in happiness, progress and usefulness.

Abdul-Baha says:

“I would say to the guard ‘You cannot imprison me, for here I have light and air and bread and water. There will come a time when my body will be in the ground and I shall have neither light nor air nor food nor water, but even then i shall not be imprisoned.’ The afflictions which come to humanity sometimes tend to center the consciousness upon the limitations. This is a veritable prison. Release comes by making of the will a door through which the confirmations of the spirit come.”

This makes me happily busy all 7 days
of the week in 76 years of my life.
I always learn to understand the commands of God
and to do good for people near by and far away.
My days are passing rapidly in love, peace and thankfulness.

Abdul-Baha says:

“Freedom is not a matter of place. It is a condition. I was thankful for the prison and the lack of liberty was very pleasing to me, for those days were passed in the path of service under the utmost difficulties and trials, bearing fruits and results.
“Unless one accepts dire vicissitudes he will not attain.”

Do you believe we are supposed to suffer in life?

Asked By: Ambivilent 4 hours ago

Or is that some foolish religious belief?

Good Question? (7)

Answer by pukirahe Apr 20th, 2012 at 10:00PM

Yes, life is hard, very hard.
We lazily want all things and we have no
knowledge to satisfy our want and need.
Lacking or obrtaining things illegally is
shameful and miserable.
Only learning will show us how to live
abundantly and honorably, but this also
very hard. Learnig what, from whom and where?
It seems that our destiny is to gain true
knowledge thriugh hardship, patience and sincerity.

Abdul-Baha says:

“Bahá’u’lláh endured the greatest hardships. He found neither rest by night nor peace by day. He was constantly under the stress of great calamity — now in prison, now in chains, now threatened by the sword — until finally He broke the cage of captivity, left this mortal world and ascended to the heaven of God. He endured all these tribulations for our sakes and suffered these deprivations that we might attain the bestowals of divine bounty.”

What situations prompt you lie?

Asked By: Imagine4JustaMoment 1 hour ago

Answer by pukirahe Apr 20th, 2012 at 9:51PM

Any situations for fears, such as fear of punishment,
fear of losing face,… especially fear of death.
We will tell the truth only when we gain true
knowledge to detach ourself from this world.
And this will be achieved only by the fear of God,
that is the beginning of wisdom.

Abdul-Baha says:

“Should other peoples and nations be unfaithful to you show your fidelity unto them, should they be unjust toward you show justice towards them, should they keep aloof from you attract them to yourself, should they show their enmity be friendly towards them, should they poison your lives sweeten their souls, should they inflict a wound upon you be a salve to their sores. Such are the attributes of the sincere! Such are the attributes of the truthful.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Baha’i World Faith – Abdu’l-Baha Section, p. 445)

Should religion be taught or found ?

Year of Dragon, Day 90

Should schools be closed or open?
Should human beings live thoughtlessly?
How would be this world without an
ever-advancing civilization?
Perhaps, every intelligent person
has a definite answer for her/himself.
Yes, we all need human education
to build our earthly society;
and we need divine education
to purposefully carry forward a more and more
glorious civilization to all eternity.

Abdul-Baha says:

“Should the occasion arise, all that they possess would be freely given in order to unfurl the banner of the solidarity of the human race over the religions of the east and the west, so that all differences might be annulled and all peoples from one end of the earth to the other might sing in accord the song of life and peace, that it might be borne on the wings of light to the throne of the father, there to be blended with the symphonies of the heavenly angels and thus heaven and earth become harmonized with the golden strains of the music of unity.
Be it known that there is but one foundation to the religion of God. The apparent differences have come through ignorance. Words differ but the purpose is one.”

Is the world headed for a revolution?

We need badly a revolution, a spiritual revolution.
We already have too many blooded polical revolutions
that lead to more poverty, more unemploment, more
displacement, more suffering, more discontentment.
We really need love, unity and peace.
We need radical change spiritually.
This will only be achieved by self-education divinely.
And this is practically feasible now with the Internet.

Baha’u’llah says:

“The Great Being saith: O ye children of men! The fundamental purpose animating the Faith of God and His Religion is to safeguard the interests and promote the unity of the human race, and to foster the spirit of love and fellowship amongst men. Suffer it not to become a source of dissension and discord, of hate and enmity. This is the straight Path, the fixed and immovable foundation. Whatsoever is raised on this foundation, the changes and chances of the world can never impair its strength, nor will the revolution of countless centuries undermine its structure.”
(Baha’u’llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha’u’llah, p. 215)
