It is also wise to say: “Think like a lady and act like man.”
Because thinking and acting cannot be separated,
while male and female wisdom is necessarily one
and the same.
All philosophies in the Cycle of Adam are
from male domination and patriarchal prejudice.
We are now living in the Age of maturity,
in which men and women must have equal
opportunities for education, for thought and action.
Otherwise, this ancient mess will keep us
in our low state of barbarism.

Our world really suffers with separation of thinking from action, of the muscular strength from compassionate encouragement… We need new thinking.

Abdul-Baha says:

“It is not attached to home and comfort nor is it limited to nest and abode. Nay, rather, it is intoxicated with the wine of the love of God, singing at all times the anthems and praises of the Almighty. This is the habit and custom of heavenly birds; this is the manner and conduct of the nightingale of the rose garden of the Merciful! “(Abdu’l-Baha, Divine Philosophy, p. 34)

  5. Interesting question and fascinating responses. The female/ male dynamic is Grand Daddy/ Great Mother Yin yangy cycle of them all. The Creator has established this at the moment of our own conception where a man and a woman come together, hopefully and for the majority of us, happily, in a divine balance. The sperm and egg both die to miraculously transcend into a new being. Feminine traits and masculine develop. Dr. Amen says our brains are slightly differentiated. I personally believe it is easier for men, in general, to objectify- to see and process problems as independent from the self. Women see more interrelatedness and seek out more personal connections. It is difficult still to tease out innate qualitities from learned templates. I agree that we have been living in a patriarchal world politically. Inside the family however

  6. Inside the family, nurturing and caregiving skills are paramount and women have been forced to love and sacrifice self at much higher levels for their children to survive to adulthood. Because women carry their children in utero and become acclaimated to their physical and psychological discomforts we learn to put our independent selves aside. Our nuturing skills our used throughout our roles as mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers. Humankind is now stepping into our great stage of maturity and a future that will be more evenly balanced. With insights from medical research, more highly refined sciences like anthropology, sociology, psychology and even political science we will be able to excercise our wits and souls towards contentment. The wisdom of the Great Message Carriers for humanity are available for all souls and humanity is

  7. Humanity is both primed and ready to tackle the myriad of complex problems facing our futures. Humanity excels at challange and adaptation and has been charged by a Divine spark. Through a succession of Holy Revelators, humanity has been nourished with Holy Writings thru our infancy, childhood and adolescence. It is a tantillating mystery to wonder why these recognised Holy Messagers have been male for the last 6,000 years.
By the way for satisfying explanations of male/female metaphors read Marion Woodman, especially her conjuring the meaning of ‘the pregnant virgin.’
