I don’t want to be an old man do you?

I don’t want to live to be old because everyone I know and care about will die if I outlive them and I’ll be lonely and start talking to walls or get 50 cats.

I thankfully love my longevity.
I have gone through world war two, feudalism, colonialism, imperialism, capitalism, communism, individualism, socialism, globalism, consumerism… That is from direst poverty to extreme wealthiness. I have witnessed ancient traditions that my grandchildren do not know and enjoy modern facilities that my ancestors were deprived of. And with the change now at the light speed, I will enjoy more marvelous things beyond my own imagination.
I am thankful to God for transforming all the days of my life into happier and happier days. I know that I will not suffer boredom or loneliness, because I have attached my life to the Divine Presence of God.

 Baha’u’llah says:

“2. O SON OF SPIRIT! The bird seeketh its nest; the nightingale the charm of the rose; whilst those birds, the hearts of men, content with transient dust, have strayed far from their eternal nest, and with eyes turned towards the slough of heedlessness are bereft of the glory of the divine presence. Alas! How strange and pitiful; for a mere cupful, they have turned away from the billowing seas of the Most High, and remained far from the most effulgent horizon.”

(Baha’u’llah, The Persian Hidden Words)

 More and more happy

My elderly days in God

With His boundless love
