I think that the three things that drive people are greed, family and pride…… what do you think?

Yes, greed and pride and ignorance. But most people are more concerned about themselves than about family.
In fact, all wrongdoing goes with ignorance.
The best thing for each and all human beings is knowledge, or more precisely knowledge of truth, of God. God creates all and He gives knowledge to all. When we fail to get this knowledge, we fall into darkness of waywardness.
Throughout history, God bestows knowledge through His Messengers and the Messenger’s priests who directly receives the divine counsels, before the Age of universal education with Books and then with the Internet.
Today, we no longer need priests. We all can freely and independently investigate the truth. People are rushing to new churches in nature, in human souls, in Holy Books on Internet for the omniscience of God. Churches, Synagogues, Mosques … are becoming empty and we are seeing more spiritual people around the world.
This is the new and invisible religion of our time. Nothing in a Baha’i is telling you about his religion, except his new learning and practice.
Mature human beings can surf the invisible virtual world.

 Baha’u’llah says:

What “oppression” is more grievous than that a soul seeking the truth, and wishing to attain unto the knowledge of God, should know not where to go for it and from whom to seek it? For opinions have sorely differed, and the ways unto the attainment of God have multiplied. This “oppression” is the essential feature of every Revelation. Unless it cometh to pass, the Sun of Truth will not be made manifest. For the break of the morn of divine guidance must needs follow the darkness of the night of error.
