Why are we afraid of losing our freedom?

Asked by birdsey 18-21, F 6 Answers 41 minutes ago in Community

Because we don’t have true knowledge. We wait for our parents to give us the freedom to quit schooling, our government to give us the freedom to travel to any lands, our religion to give us the freedom to drink wine ….
Without the knowledge of God, we don’t know the true purpose of our life and we consider slavery to our lower self as freedom! And without restrictions of parents, of government, of religion, we may freely fall into the deepest abyss of fire of ignorance.
When we truly turn to the knowledge of God, we will enjoy complete freedom. We get rid of all physical fetters and soar up to the true happiness of divine and eternal life. It is not imagination about legendary paradise. It is practically eating and digesting healthy food for the development of our precious body and soul. The more we have knowledge, the greater power we have to do anything beneficial for ourselves and for other people. Nobody can restrict us from loving selflessly all mankind and receiving divine assistance for our service.
Freedom or slavery is not an option; it is man’s choice.
Immature children need education to make choice.

Baha’u’llah says:

After journeying through the planes of pure contentment, the traveler cometh to THE VALLEY OF WONDERMENT and is tossed in the oceans of grandeur, and at every moment his wonder groweth. Now he seeth the shape of wealth as poverty itself, and the essence of freedom as sheer impotence.

(Baha’u’llah, The Seven Valleys, p. 31)

 Knowledge of God’s love

Cutting down wordly fetters

That is true freedom
