I was an unknown happy man yesterday, happier today, probably more happy tomorrow and in the days to come. The reason is that I know the purpose of my life and I see that I can decide about sticking to this purpose.
The purpose of my life is to know and love God.
I cannot know the Essence of God, but I know God’s love and His guidance through His Messenger Baha’u’llah. Baha’u’llah has revealed Books, guiding mankind how to establish institutions to develop the spiritual life of each individual and of the whole human race. Millions of people who voluntarily submit their will to the Will of Baha’u’llah are enlightened about their life now and after the physical death. Nowhere else can I see such unity of peaceful and positive thought, of regular planning and of harmonious acting daily, in happiness, thankfulness and progress.
My pen (or my computer) is incapable to describe this New Revelation of God through Baha’u’llah. But I can see the rapid expansion of this universal community in nearly eighty years of my life, while confusion and division occur in older congregations worldwide.
This divine Light will surely be seen more brightly on earth.

Baha’u’llah says:

They who are the beloved of God, in whatever place they gather and whomsoever they may meet, must evince, in their attitude towards God, and in the manner of their celebration of His praise and glory, such humility and submissiveness that every atom of the dust beneath their feet may attest the depth of their devotion….
I am the instrument that continually imparteth unto all beings the blessings with which He Who is the Source of all grace hath entrusted me. Notwithstanding the honor conferred upon me, and the unnumbered evidences of my wealth — a wealth that supplieth the needs of all creation — behold the measure of my humility, witness with what absolute submissiveness I allow myself to be trodden beneath the feet of men….”

HOW TO CONTROL ANGER?

How to control anger? I get so mad so easily i begin to fantasize violent thoughts
Asked By kelseytoby 16-17 in Health

This appears as incurable as cancer.
For long years, I got angry easily, without noticing, without knowing why and without interest in making correction.
Then I learned that anger is more fearful than a lion that I must avoid.
Years later, being ashamed of my failure to cure this disease, I blame my heart disease.
Now, after two years of recovery, I find that: anger had caused my heart disease, which spoils my life because I think that I have good reasons to get angry. It gives warnings to bad people; it consolidates my social station; it expresses my power….
Now I see how wrong I was, and I am thankful to God for giving me healing.
The secret: seeing that I am wrong and seeking God’s help through prayers.

Bahá’u’lláh says:

Verily the most necessary thing is contentment under all circumstances; by this one is preserved from morbid conditions and lassitude. Yield not to grief and sorrow: they cause the greatest misery. COMPARE YOURSELF TO A CELEBRITY?

I dont compare myself to anyone else.
All other people are greater than me in their own ways.
For my life, I decide not to simply exist, but to live thoughtfully.
I want to make sure that I know the purpose of my life.
I want my life to be more and more positive each day.
I want my life to reflect the beauty of God.
I want God to be my guide always.
It seems that my aspiration is divinely accepted, because God is answering all my prayers.
I want to be physically strong: God gives me sufficient food and time for physical exercise.
I want to be mentally strong, God gives the highly interactive Internet. I want to know what is the world, He supplies me with gigabytes of data about nature.
I want to be spiritually strong, He sends down Twin Manifestations with glaringly Divine Light (The Bab and Baha’u’llah) and infallible interpretation of the Center of Covenant and the Guardian (Abdul-Baha abd Shoghi Effendi), and a divine and infallible Institution for guidance (The Universal House of Justice). And thousands of living saints who share their wisdom via the real and the virtual worlds.
God makes me really awsome with awsome service in plans for betterment of this world, in cooperation with each and all human beings of all ages.
I am thankful to God for this boundless love.

THINKING ABOUT FEMALE EMPOWERMENT?

Is Female Empowerment the solution to the World’s Problems?
I believe it is. What do you think?

I entirely agree with you.
Women are greater half of mankind being oppressed, maltreated, and dominated by outdated patriarchy. Fathers, priests, husbands, employers, even teachers, deprive girls and women of most of their human rights and powers. Due to lack of independence in education, in finance and in policy making, they cannot fulfil their high roles as mothers and world citizens.
Gender equality policy made by men is giving women more oppression and hardship than freedom to development and empowerment.
The change will fairly occur only when priority of education, of policy making, of suitable employment… for women being applied everywhere to modify their lives and their family members. Fathers, brothers, sons… should be educated to support women in this social transformation. The delay in this endeavor will be harmful not only for women, but for the whole human race without the complete and efficient contribution of the compassionate mothers and policy makers.
See how many women are now sitting on national and international commissions to make new policies for world betterment?! Much more need to be done for a bright future of all human beings – male and female.
Mature men please think and act faster as supporters.

Baha’i Representative At The UN says:

“Educational programs undertaken as part of the Decade must also cultivate a greater understanding that to each right is attached a corresponding responsibility. The right to be recognized as a person before the law, for example, implies the responsibility to obey the law – and to make both the laws and the legal system more just. Likewise, in the socio-economic realm, the right to marry carries with it the responsibility to support the family unit, to educate one’s children and to treat all family members with respect. The right to work cannot be divorced from the responsibility to perform one’s duties to the best of one’s ability. In the broadest sense, the notion of “universal” human rights implies a responsibility to humanity as a whole.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD LIFE?

Knowledge does.
Knowledge gives us the vision about life, good life and ways to enjoy life.
A good life is a joyful journey back to God through His amazing worlds by leaving behind a higher and higher civilization. This is the life of Boddhisattva Ananda, of Saint Peter, of Imam Husayn and of millions of other souls who are assisting us from the spiritual realm.
We cannot experience this life, if we have no knowledge to develop the potentialities of our spirit. And this knowledge can only be got by accepting the Manifestation of God for our time and to observe His commandments. This can be studied in Arabic, Persian, Engllsh and in other languages which are widely used on the Internet.
Nothing good comes to a person of no knowledge.

Baha’u’llah says:

The first and foremost duty prescribed unto men, next to the recognition of Him Who is the Eternal Truth, is the duty of steadfastness in His Cause. Cleave thou unto it, and be of them whose minds are firmly fixed and grounded in God. No act, however meritorious, did or can ever compare unto it. It is the king of all acts, and to this thy Lord, the All-Highest, the Most Powerful, will testify….

SOMETHING NEW OR SOMETHING OLD?

Something new or something old?
Asked By schizein 16-17, F 7 Answers 38 mins ago in Community

All things are new and old.
For me life is new, for my ancestors it is old.
For my learning ancestors the soul is new; for the unlearned people it is old.
I think that God is new with my recent learning about Him; but He is the Living Being Who exists from time immemorial to all eternity.
For me the Internet is new, but the inventors may know its existence long ago.
My answer to your question is made new in my mind, but long before us, lots of people have written great essays about it. Some philosophers say that we must be creative to cope with our modern time; while other philosophers say that there is nothing new under the sun.
The greatest philosophic theory today is about relativity.
Einstein says that holding a burning iron in one minute is longer than sitting next to a beautiful girl in one day.
It seems that we need to redefine words for our smooth conversation, but love cannot be redefined. We define love for ourself and we practice it within our own knowledge and volition.
Man’s intelligence is neither old nor new.

Abdul-Baha says:

Verily, verily the new heaven and the new earth are come. The holy City, new Jerusalem, hath come down from on high in the form of a maid of heaven, veiled, beauteous, and unique, and prepared for reunion with her lovers on earth. The angelic company of the celestial Concourse have joined in a call that hath rung throughout the universe, all loudly and mightily acclaiming: “Hail, O City of God! Abide Thou, and make Thy habitation with the pure, virtuous and holy servants of Thine; for they are Thy people, and Thou art their Lord.”
