Not only Christians, but the whole human race, welcome the second advent of Christ and sincerely do His Will.

This is not my dream; it is my thankful and happy celebration every year with thousands of friends all over the world.

I don’t decorate the Christmas tree, I ornate my soul with His counsels.

I don’t receive costly gifts, I offer spiritual service among poor people.

I don’t by “buche de Noel”, I spread more broadly His Teachings.

I don’t participate in “réveillon” with turkey flesh, I share refreshment with friends.

It is already fifty years that I celebrate Christmas in this new way with attendance of more and more new friends.

I believe that Christ is more pleased with this heartful commemoration than wasting money in worldly and expensive banquets.

This is the end of the ritual belief and the beginning of true resurrection.

I am thankful to God for the sacrifice of His only begotten Son.

Abdul-Baha says:

Verily, the people who rejoice in the day of the feast and enjoyed the tree [Christmas tree] which was decorated, following the custom of ancient times, are the people of superstitions. By the Majesty of thy Lord! Were they in the time of Christ, they would turn their backs and would not behold His smiling, glorious face; but today they in the shallow waters of their superstitions without discretion. Therefore, thank God for His having privileged thee to attain nearness to the Blessed Tree which is grown upon the highest Sinai and is set aglow with the fire of God’s love, calling unto responsive listeners.

(Abdu’l-Baha, Tablets of Abdu’l-Baha v2, p. 295)
