What is happiness?

It is doing something good for the object of our love. Otherwise, there is not only no happiness, but it is complete non-existence.

No relation between H and O, there is no water.

No relation between light and seed, there is no plant.

No relation between plant and animal, there is no man.

No relation between man and woman, there is no relatives, no continuation of the human race.

No relation between mother and child, no motherhood.

No relation among citizens, no nation.

No relation among nations, no world commonwealth.

So, it is essential for each individual to obtain true knowledge about various kinds of human relationships and duly practice them in order to live happily, progressively and eternally.

Intelligent man knows that there is no other choice for his happiness.

Abdul-Baha says:

“Thus it hath been proven and made evident that these infinite beings in this wondrous universe will discharge their functions properly only when directed and controlled by that Universal Reality, so that order may be established in the world. For example, interaction and cooperation between the constituent parts of the human body are evident and indisputable, yet this does not suffice; an all-unifying agency is necessary that shall direct and control the component parts, so that these through interaction and cooperation may discharge in perfect order their necessary and respective functions.”

(Abdu’l-Baha, Baha’i World Faith – Abdu’l-Baha Section, p. 344)
