Very great difference.
A man being alive is merely like a plant being alive.
A truly living man is he who conducts his life loftily purposeful. He goes through education to know his own self as a rational being and making choice to live happily, usefully and progressively.
As an intelligent being, man is the highest creature beyond all other living objects. In reality, he is created by God in His image and likeness to eternally enjoy His boundless love, in the world of creation as well as in the world of revelation.
With modern means of communication we have today and tomorrow, all people will be able to know and to realize his noble reality.
All praise to the One True God for His divine grace.

Abdul-Baha says:
“Just as the solar cycle has its four seasons, the cycle of the Sun of Reality has its distinct and successive periods. Each brings its vernal season or springtime. When the Sun of Reality returns to quicken the world of mankind a divine bounty descends from the heaven of generosity. The realm of thoughts and ideals is set in motion and blessed with new life. Minds are developed, hopes brighten, aspirations become spiritual, the virtues of the human world appear with freshened power of growth and the image and likeness of God become visible in man.”
