Good Question? (3)

I think that all people agree with me about this.
All people around us are very sweet: spouses, parents,
children, relatives, friends, acquaintants….
Broader circle of love is country, planet earth, universe….
Sweeter, broader, more lasting is our love
and our joy being loved when our vision encompasses
greater realitiies.
Love is sweetest, most immense and eternal.

Baha’u’llah says:

“I yield Thee such thanks as can enable them that recognize Thy unity to scale the heights of Thy love, and cause such as are devoted  to Thee to ascend unto the Paradise of Thy presence. I yield Thee such thanks as can satisfy the wants of all such as seek Thee, and realize the aims of them that have recognized Thee. I yield Thee such thanks as can blot out from the hearts of men all suggestions of limitations, and inscribe the signs of Thy unity.”

Is falling in love a concious choice?

Asked By: absolutist (36-40, M) 49 minutes ago

Good Question? (4)

Without conscious knowledge and choice,
all so-called forms of love are not love.
True love emanates from the knowledgeable
heart who consciously wishes to give its all
to other people without calculation. It knows
the sufferings deriving from love without fear,
regret or hesitation.
Love is not blind sentiment, but it is the fruit
of divine education. God creates all things with
love and He educates human beings about this truth.

Baha’u’llah says:

“Glorified, immeasurably glorified art Thou, O my  335  Master! Look, then, upon the hearts which, in their love for Thee, have been transfixed by the darts of Thine enemies, and the heads which were borne on spears for the sake of the exaltation of Thy Cause and the glorification of Thy name. Have pity, then, upon those hearts which have been consumed by the fire of Thy love, and been touched by such tribulations as are known only unto Thee.”

What does love smell like?

Asked By: absolutist (36-40, M) 17 minutes ago

can we have some non-sexual answers? at least try!

Good Question? (6)

Love is more sacred, more fragrant, more attractive
than the attar of rose.
She who loves cannot cease to love.
He who is loved is addicted to love.
They who desire love waste all their life
to seek desperately for love.
Love is not physical, so it is colorless, shapeless,
and never fades away.
So, only she who truly loves knows what love is.
All explanation is a big waste of time.

Baha’u’llah says:

“Sanctify, then, their eyes, O my God, that they may behold the light of Thy Beauty, and purge their ears, that they may listen to the melodies of the Dove of Thy transcendent oneness. Flood, then, their hearts with the wonders of Thy love, and preserve their tongues from mentioning any one save Thee, and guard their faces from turning to aught else except Thyself. Potent art Thou to do what pleaseth Thee. Thou, verily, art the Almighty, the Help in Peril, the Self-Subsisting.” (Baha’u’llah, Prayers and Meditations by Baha’u’llah, p. 336)

Is your heart open to giving and receiving love?

It seems impossible to always close or
to open one’s heart. It is probably hard to
know whether we are loving or we are loved.
The question is that we don’t know what is love
and how to conduct a life in conformity to it!
It is written in the Holy Books that there are
four types of love (God loves Himself, God loves
mankind, mankind love God, human beings love
one another), and I cannot understand how they are.
Perhaps, we need to educate ourself more seriously
in order to know and to realize this most divine
Once we practice love sincerely we will have all
the good consequences, such as unity, peace,

Baha’u’llah says:

“23. O DWELLERS IN THE CITY OF LOVE! Mortal blasts have beset the everlasting candle, and the beauty of the celestial Youth is veiled in the darkness of dust. The chief of the monarchs of love is wronged by the people of tyranny and the dove of holiness lies prisoned in the talons of owls. The dwellers in the pavilion of glory and the celestial concourse bewail and lament, while ye repose in the realm of negligence, and esteem yourselves as of the true friends. How vain are your imaginings!” (Baha’u’llah, The Persian Hidden Words)

It is surprising that in a progressive country such as USA, a lady co not be elected to highest office of President?

Good Question? (7)

Women today are making outstanding progress. Hillary Clinton,
Oprah Winfrey, Queen Rania of Jordan… may have greater
influence and earn higher esteem than various presidents.
Women do not take the presidency, partly because they were
oppressed too long, partly because they are not lovers of power.
It is right as Mark Twain said that when the power of love
is mightier than the love of power we will have peace.
For a better and civilized world, we all, men and women,
should try our best to give higher priority to education of
girls. As potential mothers and first teachers of their children,
they will bring out a more perfect human race.
Wishing that with mothers’ love and education we will
have more lasting world peace and progress.

Baha’u’llah says:

“Thou hearest, O my God, my sighs and my groaning, and beholdest my powerlessness, and my poverty, and my misery, and my woes, and my wretchedness. I swear by Thy might! I have wept with such a weeping that I have been unable to make mention of Thee, or to extol Thee, and cried with such a bitter cry that every mother in her bereavement was bewildered at me, and forgot her own anguish and the sighs she had uttered.”

Is there really true romantic love?

Asked By: javajive (41-45) 26 minutes ago

When two souls meet in selfless love, that is romantic.
When you love selflessly, that is divine.
When other people love you selflessly, that is paradise.
All these sublime sentiments fill the hearts of people
who turn to God with conscious knowledge and service.
These are rare cases in the past when education was exclusively
reserved for privileged prople in so-called high classes.
Today, this beauty becomes universal, because all
people can get access to knowledge on the Internet.
Those who seeked, have found.

Baha’u’llah says:

Ages have passed and your precious lives are well-nigh ended, yet not a single breath of purity hath reached Our court of holiness from you. Though immersed in the ocean of misbelief, yet with your lips ye profess the one true faith of God. Him whom I abhor ye have loved, and of My foe ye have made a friend. Notwithstanding, ye walk on My earth complacent and self-satisfied, heedless that My earth is weary of you and everything within it shunneth you. Were ye but to open your eyes, ye would, in truth, prefer a myriad griefs unto this joy, and would count death itself better than this life.”

Do you believe in miracle?

Asked By: UnwindTheChainsaw (16-17, F) 21 minutes ago

Yes, your question appearing to my eyes is a miracle.
My awswering to you is a miracle.
One century ago this question and aswer did not exist.
One century later something strange may replace
the Internet, life would be completely different and
people of those days would think that we were aliens.
The longer we live we will witness greater and more
amazing miracles beyond knowledge and imagination.
Yes, life is evidently a mysterious miracle for humans
to fathom and enjoy.

Abdul-Baha says:

“The above are mere facts of history, but present history without the setting of the background of time has no perspective to our clay-laden eyes. We are ever looking for some miracle, some proof — for the Christ life as viewed from the outside seems so simple; yet could there be anything more dramatically miraculous than this: to establish peace in the hearts in the midst of a warring world? This kind of peace Baha’u’llah calls the “most great peace.” To establish this kingdom in the hearts — verily, it is the unrealized dream of the planet!”
