Why are people afraid of getting old?

Good Question? (3)

Posted by pukirahe Aug 25th, 2012 at 6:22AM

I am not afraid of getting old.
I love to be old, especially in my present conditions.
I face no inconvenience of old age.
I can show true equality to people of all ages.
I am more happy to enjoy special treatment
with priorities in healthcare, on transportation,
especially on facing admistrative bureaucracy.
In my country, old people are really respected
as a saying “Respecting old people leads to longevity!”
I am thankful to God for not suffering pains
of elderness physically, mentally as well as spiritually.

Baha’u’llah says:

“50. O SON OF MAN! If adversity befall thee not in My path, how canst thou walk in the ways of them that are content with My pleasure? If trials afflict thee not in thy longing to meet Me, how wilt thou attain the light in thy love for My beauty?”

I love to answer questions about religion.
I love to make friends.
I love to travel.
I love to surf the Internet.
I love to share experience about life.
I love to learn.
I love to encourage people to learn
English and divine religion, because they
are most necassary intruments to live as world citizens now,
like we need the bow and the plough in the
primitive age, and the pen and the book in
the previous millennium.
I am thankful to God for providing me
with abundant means to realize what I love.

Abdu’l-Baha says:

“It is said that once John of Chrysostom was walking along the seashore thinking over the question of the trinity and trying to reconcile it with finite reason; his attention was attracted to a boy sitting on the shore putting water into a cup. Approaching him, he said, “My child, what art thou doing?” “I am trying to put the sea into this cup,” was the answer. “How foolish art thou,” said John, “in trying to do the impossible.” The child replied, “Thy work is stranger than mine, for thou art laboring to bring within the grasp of human intellect the conception of the trinity.”

Let us, free from past tradition, investigate the reality of this matter. What is the meaning of the father and the son?” (Abdu’l-Baha, Divine Philosophy, p. 152)

BORN TO LOVE OR BE LOVED?

Were your BORN TO LOVE or BORN TO BE LOVED!? !

Sun is born to shine not to be shone.
Moon is born to be shone and reflects light.
Stone is born only to be shone.
Independent humans are born to love.
Dependent humans are born to be loved and reflects love.
Kids are born to be loved only.
Living beings are born to love. They learn how to
sacrify and do not expect any recompense.
Dying or immature beings are in the phase
of being loved; then they love selfishly when they grow up.
When we love, all people will be loved.
When we expect to be loved, nobody is loved.
In this Age of human maturity, we are learning
how to love selflessly for the whole earth to be loved.

Baha’u’llah says:

“3. O DWELLERS IN THE CITY OF LOVE! Mortal blasts have beset the everlasting candle, and the beauty of the celestial Youth is veiled in the darkness of dust. The chief of the monarchs of love is wronged by the people of tyranny and the dove of holiness lies prisoned in the talons of owls. The dwellers in the pavilion of glory and the celestial concourse bewail and lament, while ye repose in the realm of negligence, and esteem yourselves as of the true friends. How vain are your imaginings!” (Baha’u’llah, The Persian Hidden Words)

Good Question? (4)

I love them, I admire them, I am ready to welcome
them: they are active servants of Christ.
I met many of them and see in them many
good qualities, especiall the eagerness to talk
about Christ.
I wish that they will know that Christ already returned
and they will serve Him in a more progressive way.
I think that when they enter our houses,
they should consider us as equal humans
who want to exchage views about the salvation
of Christ, instead of behaving themselves as the saved
and the rest of mankind the lost.
All mankind are expected to accept Christ,
to learn and to practice the Divine Education from God.
He who accepts relgions for fifty years without true
knowledge and sincere practice is no better than
the unbeliever who is trying to conduct a virtuous life.
Yes, we don’t want them to judge us and
we better treat them as equal brothers and sisters
in one human family who are created in the image
of God and all will return to God.

Baha’u’llah says:

“The man who lives the life according to the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh is already a Bahá’í. On the other hand a man may call himself a Bahá’í for fifty years and if he does not live the life he is not a Bahá’í.”

If everyone lost the ability to speak forever, how different would things be?

Words are cheapest expression among other human expressions.
Humans can exchange love in thoughts, from heart to heart; and among
physical means, Internet will become the best.
Most people know and agree that speech is silver
and silence is gold; deeds speak louder than words;
one pound of practice is more valuable than tons
of theories and so on.
Instead of using the tongue, we can learn to use hand signs
and to type on keyboards. Life is still joyful and happy.
All religions encourage silence in prayers, meditations
and service to the world.

Abdu’l-Baha says:

“According to some accounts, mankind has been directed to borrow various good qualities and ways from wild animals, and to learn a lesson from these. Since it is permissible to imitate virtues of dumb animals, it is certainly far more so to borrow material sciences and techniques from foreign peoples, who at least belong to the human race and are distinguished by judgment and the power of speech. And if it be contended that such praiseworthy qualities are inborn in animals, by what proof can they claim that these essential principles of civilization, this knowledge and these sciences current among other peoples, are not inborn? Is there any Creator save God? Say: Praised be God!” (Abdu’l-Baha, The Secret of Divine Civilization, p. 30)

Abdu’l-Baha says:

“Reflect that every human being is limited through his physical body, but his spirit is free. The body of man may travel for a few miles and become fatigued, but the spirit untrammeled may go throughout the immensity of space. While walking on earth man’s thoughts may grasp the motions of the heavenly bodies and define their course. This demonstrates how man’s spirit transcends his environment.

The divine grace, whether physical or spiritual, is unlimited, yet certain selfish souls desire to circumscribe to their own ideas the outpouring of this heavenly grace.” (Abdu’l-Baha, Divine Philosophy, p. 168)

Love and hate exist throughout history
like light and darkness. This world of ours
is relative; we are struggling to reach
closer and closer to the absolute – that is
the world beyond time and space.
Here we have hatred due especially to prejudices,
superstitions, misunderstandings, arrogance, ignorance….
Love is reality; where there is no love we see hate.
God is love only.
When we turn to God, we see love like when
turning to the sun we see light.
Turning to God means learning and practicing
His Divine Education revealed in the Holy Books.
True believers of God must be true lovers – and they may
be hated the most for being insincere or misunderstood.

Abdu’l-Baha says:

I desire for you such a spiritual effulgence as will give you power to make ideal advancement and enter the kingdom of El-Abha, so that you may become superior to the whole of creation and find an illumination which is eternal. May you become assisted with confirmations that are enduring and attain to an enjoyment of life that is without interruption, without beginning and without end.”
